Reed / Reid / Read

My Reed, Reid or Read connection

It has taken me 2 years to put a name to my paternal grandmother’s maternal grandmother who is my 2x great grandmother. Ellen Reed was born about 1822 somewhere in Northumberland. I know little about her origins but I know that she had 5 daughters and it is with the help of their birth certificates that I have finally named her. Unfortunately three of the certificates spell her surname differently and there are 2 variants on her first name in the censuses. This leaves me with the following possibilities: Ellen Reed, Eleanor Reed, Ellen Reid, Eleanor Reid, Ellen Read, Eleanor Read. Tricky, and that is without considering that she may have been an Ellenor which would give another 3 variants to search. Not giving up though, as I would like to know who lies further back in my Reed / Reid /Read line.
