Surnames in my research
Since my research follows sidelines and not just the ancestral lineage I have a large number of surnames in my research database. Names with double ![]()
have been added this month. Names with a single
were added last month.

I would be interested to know who your Glass ancestors are as I am tracing anestors of this name some of whom lived in Amble from early 1900′s.
Val
Hei Val, Not an Amble Glass in my tree I’m afraid. Margaret Glass, born 3 Feb 1814 married Adam Cracket on 14 May 1838. Children: Dinah, Margaret, William, Isabela, Adam, Jane and Ann. I remember there were Glasses in Amble when I was a girl. Bit stuck on remembering their names at the moment, but it will probably come back to me. Some around my age.
Lynda
This is very interesting, Lynda because I have a Margaret Glass born 1812 at Newstead (near Ellingham/Warenford) in my line and I lost track of her. I have found your Margt. married to Adam on 1851 census at Detchant , Belford. On 1841 census Adam’s name appears as David….perhaps the enumerator made an error. Mary Glass aged 25 and James aged 7 are with them!! Guess what? I also lost track of Margt’s sister Mary! I’m very curious. Where did you get Margaret’s date of birth from and date and place of her marriage to Adam?
I have other ancestors born at Detchant and I live quite near in Belford, another coincidence!
